Enquiry

Controlling or regulating process sequences is possible with contact pressure gauges with electrical alarm contacts. In relation to the position of the pointer of the pressure gauge the contacts open or close electrical circuits. A Bourdon tube system is used in our contact pressure gauges at process pressures of approximately 1 bar and upwards. The gauges are suitable for chemically aggressive gases or liquids due to the materials used, although the media may not be too viscous or be susceptible to crystallization. These reliable and inexpensive contact pressure gauges are a combination of an inexpensive tried and tested Bourdon tube system and a modern modular principle.

The Gauges provide a liquid filling for damping, if pressure pulses or mechanical vibrations arise. The service life is extended and the display of the gauge remains mostly vibration free. Especially in harsh industrial conditions magnetic snap-action contactsare used. Due to the high contact pressure and the choice of different electrical contact materials high currents can be switched safely. A relay should be used for an appropriate current rating, if the electrical switching capacities of the alarm contacts are exceeded or not reached. Inductive alarm contacts operate without physical contact and thus have no unfavourable effects on the pressure measuring system while having an unlimited service life. Contact pressure gauges with inductive alarm contacts can be used in potentially explosive atmospheres, provided that the appropriate regulations are complied with.
