Dpstar is a professional temperature sensor supplier in Malaysia. We provide a wide range of sanitary probes & solutions for process measuring & control for dairy, f&B & life sciences industries. They are perfect for easy handling, quick use temperature measurement. This wide array of sensors will keep your sanitary liquid processes clean and running smoothly.
The MHS-H-CB Series Thermistor Sensors are designed for use in Sanitary or Hygienic Clean-in-Place applications in the Food, Dairy, Beverage, and BioPharmaceutical industries. These sensors are manufactured with 316L stainless steel housings that meet the dimensional requirements of the ASME BPE-2007 Standard and are welded and processed to provide a clean, smooth, 32microinch or better surface finish in the wetted areas for easy cleaning.
The MHS-H-CB Series thermistor probe assemblies are available in standard lengths from 3 to 6″, with a standard 10 kΩ (44006) thermistor element. These heavy-duty probes have a 3⁄8″ diameter, which steps down to a 3⁄16″ diameter at the probe tip, for fast response and additional strength. Standard features include a 1½” 16 AMP Tri-Grip fitting and 3 m (10′) of PFA insulated and jacketed cable with strain relief.
The integral cable with molded strain relief allows for easy and direct connection to your instrumentation. These sensors are also available in RTD and Thermocouple styles to accommodate any process input requirement. In addition to the standard 1½-16AMP flange design, these can be provided in a wide variety of flange sizes and styles. If you need something a little (or a lot) different, we can accommodate your needs.
This sensor is stocked with the 10,000 Ω thermistor standard, but is available in any of the following resistances:
Sensor Code | Resistance @ 25°C | Element Series |
2K | 2252 Ω | 44004 |
3K | 3000 Ω | 44005 |
5K | 5000 Ω | 44007 |
10K | 10,000 Ω | 44006 |
30K | 30,000 Ω | 44008 |
Please consult sales for available options, including element types and curves, probe lengths, protection heads and sanitary fitting styles.
How Thermocouple Probe Works?
Thermocouple probes operate on the principle that an electromagnetic force (emf) is generated when heat is applied to the junction of two dissimilar metals (sending junctions). At the other end of the wires, usually, as part of the input instrument, is another junction called the reference junction. The temperature is inferred based on the emf difference between the sensing and the reference junction, which is at a known temperature. Thermocouple probe junction types include exposed junction, ungrounded junction, and grounded junction.
Thermocouple Probe Junction Types
Sheaths with small diameters have faster response times; sheaths with larger diameters have longer life and are better for measuring higher temperatures.
Exposed Junction has the fastest response time, ideal for measuring rapid temperature changes. Clear coating on most models provides a humidity barrier for the thermocouple. Do not use with corrosive fluids or atmospheres.
Ungrounded Junction has a welded junction insulated from the protective sheath and is electrically isolated. Longer response time; use for conductive solutions or where isolation of the measuring circuitry is required.
Grounded Junction has a junction welded to tip of sheath. Wires are completely sealed from contaminants. Good response time.
