During the production of semiconductors, the highly sensitive integrated circuits (ICs or chips) are easily compromised by airborne contaminants. Particles in the air can disrupt the production workflow or destroy the whole product in various production areas. While several processes are completed using machinery, personnel still play a vital role in IC production and have the potential to corrupt the chips’ integrity. The biggest contaminant in cleanroom is the fine particles attached to clothing, footwear and materials. Air showers are designed to minimize the risk of contaminating the controlled environment.
Dpstar design, fabricate and install air shower system for cleanroom personnel. Our engineering team carefully designs and configures an air shower that meets your specific working conditions. Air shower helps to remove such fine particles by using air jet to blow at cleanroom clothing and materials before entering a cleanroom. The air shower produces high-pressure air, filters this air through a HEPA/ULPA filter, then flows the air through adjustable nozzles which exit at a high velocity. The air is then recirculated back to the high-pressure blower, where it is prefiltered then HEPA/ULPA filtered and ducted back to the adjustable high velocity cleaning nozzles. With this high air flow volume (power) and the high nozzle velocity (force), the people inside the air shower are cleaned faster and more effectively. HEPA filters provide 99.99% typical efficiency for particle sizes of 0.3 microns. PLCs are the control hubs that are used to operate the air shower. They contain multiple inputs and outputs that use transistors and other circuitry to monitor, operate, and control the air shower. They receive input from door interlocks, pressure sensors, flow sensors, and other feedback loops in order to operate the blower and control access to and from the cleanroom. With air showers there is no need for changing rooms, thus entering a clean room becomes much faster and easier, therefore it increases productivity. Our cleanroom air showers remove loose particles from persons and products prior to their entry into the cleanroom, successfully minimising and eliminating product defects for enhanced yields.
