Safety systems play a very important role in the operation of a plant, as the secure operation is the first task to be fulfilled by any management and control system. Dpstar designed and built a complete Interlocking & Safety Heater Control System for Tuff Dryers used for Cement making process for 4 x 45KW Heaters, including Site Testing & Commissioning in the Philippines. The system includes an electric motor driven dryer for circulating air in the cement process, also includes one or more electric heating elements and a system controller operable to control energization of the heating elements and the blower motor at predetermined operating conditions by way of suitable relay or control elements. Operating at other than a predetermined range of speeds or the system controller detects a malfunctioning heating element control relay or the like. A thermal interlock system with a quick response time has been developed to protect high‐power magnetic coil systems from thermal overloads. In this system thermal sensors are directly attached to coils and are electrically connected to other components through isolation transformers. Warning systems are installed to detect abnormal conditions, malfunctions, and incipient failures.
