Programmable Benchtop Micro-ohmmeter – High accuracy: 0.03 % – AOIP OM21

Features

The OM 21 programmable table micro-ohmmeter is intended for 4-wire measurement of very low resistance resistances up to 20 kΩ with an excellent maximum accuracy of 0.03% and a resolution of only 0.1 µΩ. The reliability and the precision of the measurements is reinforced by the low temperature coefficient (10 ppm / ° C), the automatic compensation of the electromagnetic forces before each measurement carried out, the temperature compensation of the nature of the metal and the room temperature compensation.

The OM 21 programmable table micro-ohmmeter is intended for 4-wire measurement of very low resistance resistances up to 20 kΩ with an excellent maximum accuracy of 0.03% and a resolution of only 0.1 µΩ. The reliability and the precision of the measurements is reinforced by the low temperature coefficient (10 ppm / ° C), the automatic compensation of the electromagnetic forces before each measurement carried out, the temperature compensation of the nature of the metal and the room temperature compensation. .

With three forms of measurement current available – continuous, pulsed or alternating – from 100 µA to 10 A and flexibility in start-up and sampling conditions, the OM 21 covers a wide range of activity sectors and applications : resistance and resistivity measurement of cables, measurement of inductive resistances (motor coils, transformers, etc.), measurement of contact resistance (connectors, switches, relays, etc.), test of low power electrical components (fuses, etc.) and devices reacting to temperature, metallization control / earthing / earth continuity.

The OM 21 is fully programmable by the user, either directly from the instrument or through the optional LOG OM software: choice of measurement current, caliber, unit of measurement, nature of the metal, alarms, measurement triggering mode, storage …

Up to 1000 measurement bursts can be saved in the instrument’s memory and can be read on the device screen directly or on a PC via LOG OM. Used on mains or rechargeable batteries, the electronic calibration of the instrument does not require any internal adjustment.

For use on a test bench, we recommend the OM 22 micro-ohmmeter rather than the OM 21. It offers the same specifications as the OM 21 but is more suitable for repetitive measurement campaigns. While the OM 21 can be used in manual or automatic mode and is fully programmable by the user from the keyboard of the instrument, the OM 22 has 6 programmable configurations that the user will come to select according to his needs.
